DO YOU WANT TO WRITE FOR US?

Are you a wrestling fan? Do you like writing? Have you ever wanted to write for a wrestling / WWE blog? This is your chance. UnchainedWWE (or the Unchained Wrestling Network) has been around since 2005. Although it has been solely dedicated to wallpapers for the past few years, it has not been turned into a full-fledged wrestling blog with news, columns, features, reviews, and of course our trademark wallpapers.

If you think you’d like to give this gig a shot, keep reading to find out how you can be a part of the Unchained Wrestling Network!

REQUIREMENTS

[1] You MUST be able to write in fluent, grammatically correct English. A spelling mistake or a tiny grammar mistake every now and then is more than acceptable, but bad command of the language in general means you may not be suitable for this opening.

[2] You MUST be a passionate wrestling fan. It doesn’t matter if you follow WWE, TNA (Impact Wrestling), or both. You must be a fan and by that it means you MUST be up-to-date on the current happenings in the business. If you don’t read the ‘dirt sheets’, that’s fine. You MUST at least keep up with TV shows like Raw and SmackDown!. NXT, Superstars, and Tough Enough, and Impact Wrestling are a bonus, but not completely necessary.

[3] You MUST have some knowledge of basic blogging and basic image manipulation. This is because I’ll need you to crop images according to the website’s sizes, and also post your blog entries using WordPress. If you’re not familiar with WordPress, it’s fine, but you must be able to pick up these skills quickly and efficiently when I send you the basic steps and tutorials.

[4] You must be able to at least send in ONE update a week. That’s all I ask. If you’re a column person, that’s great. If you’d like to write lists like Top 10′s and Best Ofs, that’s also terrific. Other options include Raw and SmackDown! reviews, DVD / Blu-Ray reviews, etc. Read below for more details on what I need at the moment.

[5] You need to keep your posts short and sweet. Columns and special features can be much longer, but basic blog entries should be kept neat and short. You can add some wit and humor into it all you want, but it should not come off as an essay. Nobody likes those, right?

[5] Lastly, this is not a hate site. You MUST have SOME liking for WWE’s current product. Bashing WWE all the time will not work. Bashing them sometimes is fine.

WHAT’S OPEN AT THE MOMENT

You can pick any one of these options that suits you best. You do not have to do all, fortunately.

[1] I need someone to review weekly Raw and SmackDown! episodes. If you’re taking-up this position, you need to post these reviews as soon as possible after the shows’ commencement time. If you can review Impact Wrestling as well, that’s an added bonus.

[2] PPV Reviewer. If you’re able to review PPVs, that’ll be fantastic!

[3] DVD / Blu-Ray reviewers. You don’t have to review older stuff. Just the newer ones that come out. Ideal timing for reviews would be within a week of the DVD / Blu-Ray’s release date.

[4] News Editor. You do NOT have to post all news items. Basically what I need is someone who can blog about the biggest issues at the moment while they’re still hot. Put your own spin on it, have some opinions thrown in, stuff like that is always welcome. Just don’t drop too many F-bombs in there.

[5] Contributor. Basically you contribute whatever you can to the site in the form of columns, opinionated news, special features, Top lists, etc.

Ah, the ever-important question. Unfortunately, I’m unable to pay anyone at the moment. This is a new blog and a new concept for the site, and I’m doing it as a passion and a hobby. If you’re passionate about wrestling and need a place to blog about it, drop me an email and we’ll work something out.
