We’re finally here! We’re standing at the brink, looking out as WrestleMania 28 draws closer and closer on the horizon. It’s just around the corner and the tension has reached a boiling point. It’s been a long, long time since we’ve seen two superstars with a real dislike for each other, but if that was the price to pay in order to see John Cena take on The Rock, it was well worth it! People say this match is one year in the making, but in reality it goes way before that. This rivalry is rooted deep, and is more real than we’d like to believe. The time for talk is over, and the score of scores will be settled this Sunday when one of these icons walks out of Miami as the winner of arguably the biggest match in WWE history!

If you don’t know about the recent backstage rumblings concerning The Rock and how there’s a silent war between him and modern-day WWE superstars, I’d say you are either disciplined enough to stay away from dirt-sheets, or you just woke up from a year-long coma. If it’s the latter, then boy-oh-boy are you going to hate yourself for missing some pretty epic sh!t. The most vocal of the backstage lot has been, for obvious reasons, The Voice of The Voiceless and your current WWE Champion, CM Punk. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I’d bet a good dollar that there’s more to CM Punk’s negative remarks concerning The Rock than just Punk not being able to see eye to eye with him. I’m thinking CM Punk is the trick hidden up WWE’s sleeve, and the subliminal weapon that’s being used to pan more people over to Cena’s corner, and away from The Rock’s.

More importantly, there seems to be a message from an “anonymous superstar” that berates The Rock and thrashes his decision to return at WrestleMania 28. It got me thinking, “Do the current crop of WWE Superstars have a legitimate right to be mad at The Rock for taking the main-event at WrestleMania 28?” Here’s what I think…

Truth be told, there is no better heel in the wrestling marketplace than Jericho, who has always had his fingers on the pulse of what fans respond to. He embodies the smarmy, oblivious smart ass in such a way that is both novel and effective. For instance, when was the last time you can say a wrestler’s performance was both hilarious and annoying?

Okay, first things first. The insanely-vocal crowd at Madison Square Garden last night reminded me why I continue to be a fan of WWE and pro-wrestling. Survivor Series turned out to be my favorite PPV of the year right next to Money In The Bank. It was a night of nostalgia, of great homages, of rich WWE history, and of renewed spirits. The old beautifully fused with the new, and the ones in between made the scenario perfect. Survivor Series made me realize that in chaos of the clusterf**k that is WWE, there’s still some pretty good entertainment to be had, and it was awesome being able to learn something like that.
