If you thought 30 superstars battling it out inside the ring was a recipe for pure chaos, buckle up because this year WWE has decided to raise the bar by announcing the first-ever 40 Man Royal Rumble! That’s 40 superstars punching, shoving, beating the crap out of each other, and gunning for the coveted opportunity to headline WrestleMania XXVII! More

Tables, Ladders, Chairs…Oh,my!
I can’t help but think of Mick Foley everytime I hear the words “TLC“. It was, after all, his “invention” back when he was the General Manager. In fact, back then, the General Manager didn’t have to ‘tweet’ announcements via a computer, or give Michael Cole more screentime than any of the Raw superstars week after week. Stories of Mick Foley aside, the card for this year’s TLC seems pretty stacked. You have the WWE, World Heavyweight, and the Intercontinental Championship on the line, as well as the No.1 Contender’s spot for the WWE Championship up for grabs. You also have the first-ever Divas Tables Match. That’s right, it’s okay for kids to watch women violently crashing through tables, but paramedics are sent out in the middle of a match at the first sight of blood seeping out someone’s nose. Go figure. More

Behold The King Of The Ring!
It looks like we have a new king in town. Sheamus, the frighteningly white Celtic Warrior and self-proclaimed destroyer of Triple H, is now the reigning King Of The Ring. While I’m glad Sheamus earned himself the rights to the throne, I keep thinking WWE can do so much more with his character than just make him the guy who floats around the midcard section of the show. Sheamus has everything it takes to be a bona fied WWE top-rank superstar. More

Making its debut exclusively on Unchained Wrestling Wallpapers is the poster for WWE Royal Rumble 2011! If you weren’t hyped before, it’s time to add to your anticipation and jump on the road heading straight into 2011. Okay, so you’ve already seen the poster for this year’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view event, and while I did say it isn’t one of WWE’s best works, it’s always nice to see posters in their HQ versions. The Most Dangerous Structure In WWE History.
If you recall last year’s Hell In A Cell wallpaper update, I clearly stated that I hate the fact that WWE turned their most popular match into a PPV event, thereby ruining the mystique the merciless steel structure carried. This year, however, I’m pretty hyped for the PPV for one major reason: The Undertaker and Kane! This is a dream match for anyone who has had the privilege of watching the history between these two forces of nature unravel over the years. More

Challengers Will Rise, Champions Will Fall.
There are a number of WWE conceptual PPVs that I still cannot “click” with, but Night Of Champions is NOT one of them. I actually like the way WWE structures its matches around Night of Champions. The PPV doesn’t always turn out the way we want it to, but at least the build-up is interesting. And more often than not, there’s always a change of a couple of titles on the show. More

UPDATE : Here’s the newer version of the wallpaper featuring Chris Jericho and Edge as part of Team WWE, and minus The Great Khali. Hopefully The Miz grabs the vacant spot. Miz is getting more entertaining by the minute, so it’ll be cool to see how he performs alongside his fellow Raw superstars against a common threat.

It’s The Biggest Event Of The Summer!
It’s WWE’s “WrestleMania of the summer” and by the looks of things, this year’s event is going to be epic. The deadly seven known as The Nexus have taken WWE by the throat and it seems not even John Cena’s elite team are a match for the ruthless rookies. I doubt Team WWE will be victorious at Summerslam, but even if they do win, this rivalry is far from over. I’m predicting an even bigger match down the road, possibly at Survivor Series. Then there’s SmackDown!’s intense saga pitting Kane against Rey Mysterio, during which I hope The Undertaker returns. I was hoping The Nexus would be responsible for the Deadman’s “coma”, but I’m always open to another Brothers Of Destruction angle. And of course, the vicious, venomous viper, Randy Orton is prepped and ready for another championship run. I hope he takes the belt off Sheamus, but even if he doesn’t, it’s almost certain someone’s going to get RKO’d at the event! Get to downloadin’, all. The wallpaper isn’t complete, but as soon as we know who’ll fill in the spots for Edge and Chris Jericho, I’ll update the wallpaper and put it up again.

NOTE : Also, Unchained Wrestling Wallpapers turns 5 this month! I’ll be celebrating a lil’ with some changes to the site. Big or small, you’ll have to wait and see. As for now, enjoy the new Summerslam wallpaper, and keep checking back for more updates!
