Here’s yet another ‘Road To WrestleMania‘ wallpaper featuring Edge vs Alberto Del Rio with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Everybody knows that the Rated [R] Superstar has been on a WrestleMania losing streak over the last few years, which makes things even better for Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio, who has said more times than we can remember that it is his destiny to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 27. I wouldn’t have a problem with that. In fact, I think Alberto Del Rio could be a very effective, tough-to-beat champion if he takes the title off Edge. More

Our good friend VKM has sent in yet another HQ poster, this time for WWE Elimination Chamber. Unlike the previous poster which features Randy Orton, this one has the Rated [R] Superstar and current World Heavyweight Champion, Edge, grinding his teeth on the chamber’s unforgiving black chains and giving us that ‘crazy-eyed’ look that we’ve grown so fond of. At least this version of the poster looks way better than the one with Orton on it. More

No Rules. Anything Goes.
It’s supposedly the one night of the year when ‘anything goes’ and ‘no rules apply’, yet I’m sure when someone gets their forehead busted wide open, the “PG-Police” will come running out to the ring with a towel, some of that glue, and a first-aid kit, to make there’s no sight of blood on WWE programming. Also, I’m pretty sure we won’t see chairshots to the head since that has been banned as well. Monitors to the head, on the other hand, are fine? But anyway, I like Extreme Rules because it’s a lot more interesting than most of the new PPVs that have sprung up over the last year, even if the more brutal matches have been banished from WWE’s plans (for the time-being). And yes, the wallpaper above has only 5 matches because more matches were just announced today and there wasn’t any time left; the event is just days away. My most anticipated matches? Triple H / Sheamus and CM Punk / Rey Mysterio. I really think Triple H and Sheamus are going to hand out severe beatings to each other…hopefully I’m not wrong. Get to downloadin’, fellas!

Spear! Spear! Spear!
It’s all the rave on SmackDown! these days. Edge enters a match, picks up momentum, positions his opponent, pumps the crowd up with anticipation, and then in a swift and sudden blow; The Spear! I was pretty surprised to see cheer for the move pick up so fast, seeing as it has been around for ages and Edge has been doing it for a very long time now. But that’s how good Edge is as a superstar.He gets the crowd to boo him out of buildings when he’s a heel (and boy was he a fantastic heel), but he can also get the crowd into a frenzy when he’s a babyface. In this case, nowadays everyone wants to see Edge deliver a devastating “Spear! Spear! Spear!” Anyway, here’s a brand new wallpaper featuring the Rated [R] Superstar, Edge, and what seems to be his current state of mind; obsession with his favorite finisher. I’ve said before that I’ve always liked heel Edge better, but I’ll give the guy credit for being a successful babyface as well. I’m hoping now that he’s a face that he’ll have a short / long reunion stint with either Christian or (also) newly-turned face, Randy Orton. Download and enjoy, folks!

Here’s the new poster for WWE’s newest PPV, Over The Limit. Like the one before it features Edge, only this time the poster looks better overall. Better logo, better pose, better design. The older one looked like an ad for Castrol or some other motor-oil product. But like I’ve said before, I’m a fan of the older PPVs. The older name had a certain charm and impact to them; Backlash, Judgment Day, Fully Loaded, Bad Blood, Unforgiven, etc. It made the company look rugged and the events dangerous and somewhat ominous. I guess I’ll have to get used to these newer names for now. But in any case, this new poster looks pretty nice. Still wish Edge was a heel, though.

A Clash For Championship Glory.
When Edge and Chris Jericho teamed up last year to win the Unified Tag Team Championships, I was overjoyed. I loved the angle and I loved the pairing; these two shared chemistry that was unbeatable. Unfortunately Edge sustained an injury and Chris Jericho was forced to find a new partner (hence the birth of JeriShow). While I still love JeriShow (despite them going their separate ways), I’m sure I would have loved the Edge-Jericho tag-team way better. Edge won the Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho won the championship off The Undertaker, and here they are at WrestleMania 26 in a battle for one of the most coveted prizes in wrestling history. I’m definitely going with Chris Jericho on this one. Make no mistake, I am a huge fan of the Rated [R] Superstar, and I would have rooted for him if he had remained a heel. I just cant seem to take the new Edge as seriously as I did when he was smashing Ric Flair’s head between a steel chair and some concrete. However, this match has a lot to offer and I’m sure I’m going to enjoy it anyway. Both these guys are great performers and wrestlers; definitely something to look forward to. And most likely, this isn’t the end of the Jericho / Edge feud. Woah, now that’s one ugly looking poster. Seriously, it looks like a preschooler was trying his skills at design work. I’m not sure why WWE picked this picture to hype their event when [a] Edge is still injured and is a few months away (at least) from returning to the ring, [b] Undertaker looks beat-down and (un)intimidating, and [c] there are loads of other images that depict a TLC match way better. I like the CM Punk poster a lot more than this piece. Looks very rushed and gives us a sense that even WWE doesn’t care about some of their own events anymore. Anyway, it’s still a poster…I just cant find one good thing to say about it!
