is a section where we store artist illustrations, unofficial PPV
posters that are designed by us OR sent in exclusively for
Unchained, graphically altered images that portray an upcoming
event, and then some other stuff that are made for the fun of it
such as spoof movie posters featuring wrestling superstars |

SMACKDOWN VS. RAW 2008 :: CUSTOM
COVER ART |
|
The
SmackDown! videogame franchise loads itself with brand new additions
every year upon their new release, and this time around, a new brand
steps into the battlefield; ECW! Players will now have access to the
'extreme' roster as well as the standard Raw and SmackDown!
superstars.
Again, just like
we did for SmackDown! vs. Raw 2007, Unchained presents this custom
cover-art for the upcoming game that has wrestling fans hyped,
SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008.
This symmetrical
design structure puts all the top dogs of their respective brands on
opposite corners, just as the title says. In Raw's corner is John
Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, and Bobby Lashley. Whereas representing
SmackDown! is The Undertaker, Batista, Kane, and Rey Mysterio!

JOHN CENA AS THE HULK |
|
This
poster was designed sometime in late 2005, way before the
announcement of the new upcoming Incredible Hulk flick. The poster
is a spoof of the previous HULK film. Here we see John in all his
rage...so much so that he turns green and becomes the smashing,
bashing, Hulk!
Below the poster
are the regular copyright notifications of course, by Marvel and
Universal etc, making the poster look real. So why John Cena and not
some other muscular wrestler for The Hulk? Simply because Cena has
the face and that 'Hulk-ish' look on his face when he does what he's
doing in the poster. Plus, his body is wide, his arms are big...only
problem is he isn't green. Looks like we've fixed that problem,
haven't we?

JACOB VS. JASON |
|
Hollywood
seems to be pitting major pop-culture icons against each other these
days, so looking forward to things like Jacob vs. Jason wouldn't be
completely crazy. This poster is another spoof depicting Kane as
Jacob from See No Evil, against the ever-popular zombie-like killing
machine, Jason Vorheees, from all those uncountable Friday The 13th
flicks. If Jason can survive lightning bolts, fire, axes to the
head, and still star in sequel after sequel of his movies, I'm sure
Hollywood will find a way for the Big Red Machine as well.
Anyhow, the
poster is a spoof of Freddy vs. Jason, which in my opinion was more
comedic than scary, showing Jacob facing-off with Jason, and Jacob's
infamous hook around Jason's very famous weapon of choice.

SMACKDOWN VS. RAW 2007 : CUSTOM
COVER ART |
|
Here's
a custom-designed cover-art for the Playstation 2 game, SmackDown!
vs. Raw 2007. There's something wrong with the cover art produced by
THQ, in my opinion, because they lack the energy that should depict
a wrestling game. Of course, SmackDown! games have failed to deliver
time after time, with the best being Here Comes The Pain. Subsequent
games have just lacked something or a few things altogether.
Anyway, the cover
blends the superstars of RAW and SmackDown!, with John Cena
representing Raw and The Undertaker representing SmackDown!. Then
there's Batista who packs a punch and puts some motion into the art,
telling people that this game is going to kick some serious @$$!
Of course, the
design replicates the THQ template and way of arranging elements,
but with different superstars and slightly altered colors.

JOHN CENA VS. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN :
WRESTLEMANIA 23 |
|
This
is a prediction picture designed for WrestleMania 23. Since 23 was
epic in so many ways, we thought it would only be logical on WWE's
side to pit John Cena against Stone Cold Steve Austin in what is
until now a dream-match for fans worldwide. Take note that these
guys have never faced-off in the ring, and the picture you see
(click thumbnail to enlarge) is not real. This is a 'what-if'
picture of Stone Cold Steve Austin staring into the eyes of John
Cena, a sight millions of wrestling fans have been craving to see
over the years.
If the picture
you see had really happen, and hopefully it does sometime in the
future, then be assured that the crowd would erupt into a frenzy
similar to that of Hulk Hogan's return, or more!
This match is
inevitable. It's bound to happen someday.

PREDICTION : THE UNDERTAKER IS THE NEW
CHAMPION |
|
The
Undertaker has never been beaten at WrestleMania, and that's why we
were pretty sure that this would be the scene after he had beaten
Batista at WrestleMania 23. We were right, of course!
The picture you
see is a graphically-altered image, in which the championship is
superimposed as if The Undertaker was holding it up. In the actual
picture, The Undertaker is not holding anything.
This is a
prediction picture showing the aftermath of the Batista / Undertaker
match at WrestleMania 23.

VENGEANCE 2006 UNOFFICIAL POSTER FEAT. DX |
|
The
power of YouTube is great, isn't it? Weeks before DX had actually
reunited, someone had posted an official WWE Vengeance TV promo on
YouTube which hyped the return of the most controversial stable in
wrestling history; Degeneration X!
The promo spread
like butter across bread, and before you knew it, everyone knew that
DX was coming back way before they actually did! So we went with the
flow and conjured this Vengeance poster depicting long-time rivals,
friends, and teammates, Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a tag-team
position, clearly stating that they were once again, a part of DX.
Behind them is Shawn doing the crotch-chop and the green 'X' smoke.

VENGEANCE 2006 UNOFFICIAL POSTER FEAT. DX
(VERSION 2) |
|
Here's
another version of the Vengeance poster. Since we couldn't decide
which one to upload, it only seemed logical to upload both!
Green = DX,
therefore the entire poster was coated green. Same stuff, just
different color tone to make it look more...DX-ish.
