The 10 Best WWE Wallpapers Of 2011!
Saturday
Dec 31, 2011
It’s no secret that time runs faster in WWE’s world than it does in our reality outside WWE’s elaborate storylines and havoc-inducing madness. From The Rock’s groundbreaking return to the ring to CM Punk’s insane hijacking of the WWE Championship, and from Vince McMahon ”retiring” to Kane making an epic comeback with his mask on, 2011 has been chaotic, unpredictable, and very entertaining. We can sit here and complain all we want, but there were some events in 2011 that will echo throughout WWE’s history for years to come. In the end, that’s all that matters. Here’s to hoping 2012 is bigger and better than 2011 was.
As for this site, I figured the best way to look back at the year is to glance at the 10 Best Wallpapers of 2011. Keep in mind that these DO NOT include the matchcard wallpapers. I ranked these according to popularity, visits, and social activity. Without further ado…here are the 10 Best Wallpapers of 2011! More

“This is WrestleMania! And folks, it don’t get no better than this.” – Jim Ross
Where Heroes Are Born, Legends Are Made, And Generations Collide! It’s been a long, chaotic, star-studded road, and we’re finally less than a week away from the 27th annual global sports-entertainment phenomenon, WrestleMania! Personally, I cannot wait. So many of my favorite WWE superstars have picked their spots at the event, more precisely many names that dominated the “Attitude Era” will be present at the show. More

Destiny Awaits.
Here’s yet another ‘Road To WrestleMania‘ wallpaper featuring Edge vs Alberto Del Rio with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Everybody knows that the Rated [R] Superstar has been on a WrestleMania losing streak over the last few years, which makes things even better for Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio, who has said more times than we can remember that it is his destiny to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 27. I wouldn’t have a problem with that. In fact, I think Alberto Del Rio could be a very effective, tough-to-beat champion if he takes the title off Edge. More

The Match That Will Define An Era.
When rumors started circulating a while back that Triple H would challenge The Undertaker at WrestleMania this year, I dismissed them almost completely, figuring that WWE would wait a while before booking such an epic match just a year after the second legendary confrontation between the Deadman and Shawn Michaels. On 2.21.11, a date that is now engraved in WWE’s illustrious timeline, I was struck with awe when The Undertaker made his triumphant return, and then shocked beyond belief when moments later Triple H made his comeback from nearly a year of hiatus! A Battle For Supremacy On The Grandest Stage!
Okay, lets face it, John Cena vs The Miz isn’t really the WrestleMania match everyone was hoping for. It may have built-up momentum, but it wasn’t really the feud people were eagerly waiting for. Despite the fact that Randy Orton has faced Cena numerous times before, I think people were willing (and even anticipating) another showdown between the biggest superstars of the current era. I dare say WWE management was pushing for a match of such magnitude when suddenly they realized The Rock was going to be a major draw for the night, and him having a feud with John Cena wasn’t going to work well with Orton. In fact, it would have diluted the match. More

“There Are Mountains That Cannot Be Climbed, Seas That Cannot Be Sailed…And Streaks That Cannot Be Broken!”
- The Undertaker
I would be lying if I said I didn’t watch WrestleMania every year mainly for The Undertaker, because that’s exactly what I do. I love the show and I love the road that leads into the grandest stage of them all, and I mark-out quite a lot when favorites like Stone Cold and The Rock decide to make rare appearances at the event, but the one thing that keeps me on the edge of my seat more than any other match is the one that involves the Deadman and his unprecedented WrestleMania winning streak. HQ First Look : WrestleMania 27 Wide Poster
Monday
Feb 28, 2011
Well at least I’m happier now! VKM and the good folks over at WCF.com have sent in this new poster for WWE’s upcoming extravaganza, WrestleMania 27, and it looks much better than the version we saw before this. It’s still not as grand and epic as any of last year’s WrestleMania posters, but it’s a step forward when compared to what we saw before this. My only question is, where are the other big dogs? More

An Epic Encounter At The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
Wrestling fans worldwide literally had their senses shocked when The Rock made a groundbreaking return to the ring last Monday night on Raw. It wasn’t Dwayne Johnson, movie star, giving us a guest appearance on the Titantron, or delivering a speech at the Hall Of Fame ceremony. No, this was the superstar who defined the Attitude Era, who had the most intense matches with the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H, who sold-out entire stadiums and cut promos that could tear his opponents’ egos to shreds, and who could ‘Layeth the Smackdown’ on each and every candy-ass that he came toe to toe with!
