New Title. New Champion. New Era.

As most of you might know by now, I’m very excited about the direction WWE is headed in. It’s an exciting time for the company, and I dare say it’s the dawn of a new era for WWE. To kick things off, Vince McMahon decided to crown a new WWE Champion on Raw, but set the match for next week due to “time constraints”. The big question is, will there actually be a new WWE Champion…since CM Punk is still walking around somewhere with the original championship around his waist? More

A Battle For Supremacy On The Grandest Stage!
Okay, lets face it, John Cena vs The Miz isn’t really the WrestleMania match everyone was hoping for.  It may have built-up momentum, but it wasn’t really the feud people were eagerly waiting for. Despite the fact that Randy Orton has faced Cena numerous times before, I think people were willing (and even anticipating) another showdown between the biggest superstars of the current era. I dare say WWE management was pushing for a match of such magnitude when suddenly they realized The Rock was going to be a major draw for the night, and him having a feud with John Cena wasn’t going to work well with Orton. In fact, it would have diluted the match. More

And I’m…………AWESOME!!!
Everyone knows that wrestling has a lot to do with trash-talking and bragging about oneself, and in those respects, there are only a handful who come close to The Miz. Currently the reigning United States Champion, The Miz is brash, cocky, arrogant, loud…but above all he’s Awesome (self-proclaimed, of course)! What I like about The Miz is that he stuck to what he knew best and ran with it. Instead of becoming the “Marty Jannety” after his tag-team run with John Morrison, The Miz took a change of persona (and attires) and went all out to make sure he became a recognizable name on Raw. From challenging John Cena to having excellent heel promos, and of course teaming-up with the Big Show for a short stint, The Miz is now one of the better superstars on Raw and it’s only a matter of time before he starts to appear more constantly in WWE Championship matches. Heck, I dare say The Miz has even proven John Morrison wrong and has inevitably become the better (and bigger) superstar. I still have faith in Morrison, though, but as of now I think The Miz is doing a better job as a heel than Morrison is doing as a babyface. Anyway, it’s been a long time since a Miz wallpaper went online, so here it is, everyone. For those of you out there who care to be Awesome, get to downloadin’ and decorate your screens!

The Future Starts Now.
This is it. The superstars you see above will go on to become champions in their own right. Some will rise, others will fall, but no matter what these are the faces that will carry World Wrestling Entertainment into the future as the more veteran superstars take a back seat from their respective spotlights and allow the new generation to pave the way and carve illustrious careers for themselves. Some will try to fill the ‘large shoes’ of those like Shawn Michaels while others will strive to be as good as legends like Bret Hart. Sons will aspire to be better than their iconic fathers while the rest fight and brawl and claw and climb to become the Austins and Rocks of tomorrow’s WWE.

This is a wallpaper that I timed specifically for the end of the year. 2010 looks very promising for WWE (and TNA Wrestling) and fans worldwide are hoping for a new wrestling boom. This wallpaper reflects what may be the new era in wrestling. As we end 2009 and simultaneously leave an entire decade behind us, a new era dawns ahead and promises the rise of many young superstars. But before they reach the top they’ll have to battle the Ortons and the Cenas, the Edges and Jerichos, Undertakers and Shawn Michaels’. It’s up to them to make the next decade their own. It’s a long, winding road ahead for these guys. And their road starts now.
