It has been one helluva year for Alberto Del Rio so far, hasn’t it? From winning the Royal Rumble to headlining WrestleMania 27 (despite it being the opening match), then winning the Raw briefcase at Money In The Bank, and finally becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion at SummerSlam. Everybody knows that the Rated [R] Superstar has been on a WrestleMania losing streak over the last few years, which makes things even better for Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio, who has said more times than we can remember that it is his destiny to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 27. It’s unconventional to like heels when it comes to wrestling, I know, but Alberto Del Rio is different. Of all the new superstars who have yet to cement themselves as main-event names, Del Rio is most the effective (next to Wade Barrett) in my opinion. He wrestles pretty well, he’s got good mic skills, and when he says he’s going to do something, he actually does it! Let’s face it, even I thought John Morrison would win the Royal Rumble this year but Del Rio proved me wrong. It was, indeed, his destiny to win the biggest Royal Rumble in WWE history. More
