It’s no secret that time runs faster in WWE’s world than it does in our reality outside WWE’s elaborate storylines and havoc-inducing madness. From The Rock’s groundbreaking return to the ring to CM Punk’s insane hijacking of the WWE Championship, and from Vince McMahon ”retiring” to Kane making an epic comeback with his mask on, 2011 has been chaotic, unpredictable, and very entertaining. We can sit here and complain all we want, but there were some events in 2011 that will echo throughout WWE’s history for years to come. In the end, that’s all that matters. Here’s to hoping 2012 is bigger and better than 2011 was.

It’s been a great year for WWE, but an even greater year for John Cena. In just a year the currently purple-clad superstar headlined WrestleMania 26, won and lost the WWE Championship, started a one-man army against the rebellious Nexus, was somehow forced to join the Nexus, got himself fired for disobeying Wade Barrett, then got rehired in less than a month, and just yesterday found himself back in the ring slamming steel chairs into Barrett’s aching spine as an act of revenge. *Phew!* Just typing that got me tired.  More

The Deadman has a tendency of rising from the ashes and reemerging from the dead, and if being buried before didn’t stop him, being buried now probably isn’t going to keep him down for too long. So Nice They Named Her Twice.
It’s no surprise that Kelly Kelly always finds herself coming back to either the Women’s or Divas Championship(s) every couple of months, even though it’s no secret that she isn’t one of the better wrestlers among the Divas. But what she lacks in ring abilities she makes up for with her looks, and who can deny that Kelly Kelly has everything that WWE could every look for when it comes to Diva eye-candy. I’ll give her credit, though…she has slightly improved in the ring over the course of the last couple of years, but she still has lots to learn. Her current feud with LayCool is entertaining, and although everyone knows the name “Smelly Kelly” isn’t true, it does get the normally-smiley Diva to show her tougher, more aggressive side every now and then. I got to thinking and thought the site could use a Diva wallpaper right now, and Kelly Kelly hasn’t had one in ages, so here it is! A brand new wallpaper called “Bombshell“…because that’s exactly what Kelly Kelly is.

Everyone knows that wrestling has a lot to do with trash-talking and bragging about oneself, and in those respects, there are only a handful who come close to The Miz. Currently the reigning United States Champion, The Miz is brash, cocky, arrogant, loud…but above all he’s Awesome (self-proclaimed, of course)! What I like about The Miz is that he stuck to what he knew best and ran with it. Instead of becoming the “Marty Jannety” after his tag-team run with John Morrison, The Miz took a change of persona (and attires) and went all out to make sure he became a recognizable name on Raw. From challenging John Cena to having excellent heel promos, and of course teaming-up with the Big Show for a short stint, The Miz is now one of the better superstars on Raw and it’s only a matter of time before he starts to appear more constantly in WWE Championship matches. Heck, I dare say The Miz has even proven John Morrison wrong and has inevitably become the better (and bigger) superstar. I still have faith in Morrison, though, but as of now I think The Miz is doing a better job as a heel than Morrison is doing as a babyface. Anyway, it’s been a long time since a Miz wallpaper went online, so here it is, everyone. For those of you out there who care to be Awesome, get to downloadin’ and decorate your screens!

There Will Be Vengeance!
It has been ages since Unchained Wrestling Wallpapers has featured the Big Red Monster, Kane, so I thought what better time to put up a new wallpaper of the 7foot behemoth than right now. I’m going to openly state here that Kane was the reason (or one of the biggest reasons) I tuned into wrestling week after week. The violent streaks, the fear-inducing stare that beamed out of the holes of his mask, his hellish entrance, and the intriguing storylines with his counterpart / brother, The Undertaker, were awesome. And while Kane has been somewhat suppressed in recent years, it looks like he’ll finally be getting a major push now (hopefully), since he’s deeply rooted with The Undertaker’s sudden ‘departure’.  I’m hoping for a proper reunion of the Brothers Of Destruction, but even if the predictable happens and Kane is the ‘culprit’ behind the crime, it’ll still be fun to watch because any angle that these two get into is always coated with mystique, awe, and surprises. The best thing that could happen, though, would be for Kane to put on a new mask and create carnage in WWE once again. One can only hope. Anyway, here’s a new Kane wallpaper for all the Kaneanites entitled Through Hellfire & Brimstone, in conjunction with this new Attitude-ish scenario that Kane has gotten himself into.

“The Two-Time, Two-Time, All American-American!”
If there’s one guy who repeats his words more than Mrrrrr.Anderson…Anderson, it’s the current World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. In all honesty, I thought Swagger was doomed when he started getting his @$$ tossed-out of rings by Santino. And I wasn’t very happy with his push when he won Money In The Bank at WrestleMania either. Thankfully, Jack Swagger has proven me wrong and he seems to have his path cut-out for him. The guy’s doing a good job and if he plays his cards well, he could become a permanent top-rank name. His in-ring skills are fantastic for a guy his size, so pitting him against superstars like The Undertaker doesn’t look awkward. To me it looks like Jack Swagger is heading down the same path as Kurt Angle. In fact, I think he could be our next Kurt Angle. They both excel at amateur wrestling, they use pro-American themes in their personas, they both repeat catchphrase words (It’s True, It’s True / It’s Real, It’s Damn Real / All American, American ), and they’ll always be slightly dorky no matter how much they grow as superstars.
