There Is Still No…Way…Out.
WWE introduced the idea of having two Elimination Chamber matches in one night a little over two years ago and it’s been an awesome idea so far. I’m guessing either Sheamus or Randy Orton walks out of the Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion, and on SmackDown!’s side it’s gotta’ be Chris Jericho somehow to pave the way for the anticipated Edge / Chris Jericho match at WrestleMania 26. I’m not sure how, but something tells me Shawn Michaels will be instrumental in The Undertaker’s loss this Sunday (if ‘Taker loses, of course). Apart from the Chamber matches there’s Kane vs Drew McIntyre and while I know this is a lot to hope for, I’m crossing my fingers and waiting for the Big Red Machine to take the Intercontinental Championship and have a title reign again. Kane’s been dormant and unused for far too long! All in all this looks like a good road to WrestleMania but don’t be fooled; the real intensity only begins after the dust has settled at the Elimination Chamber, and it’s only then that chaos erupts! Lets Get Ready To Rumble!
A lot can change in a year. Different feuds, new rivalries, and a change of opponents. But some things never change; for instance, the Royal Rumble. The rules are the same as they’ve always been for years. 30 superstars unleash hell in the ring, and the last man standing who hasn’t been thrown over the top rope is guaranteed an opportunity at a championship of his choosing at the main event of WrestleMania. This year’s Rumble event looks massive.While I’m not too keen about the other championship matches, I can’t wait to see Randy Orton square off against relative newcomer and WWE Champion Sheamus. It’s a breath of fresh air; seeing heel versus heel. The Rumble main event itself, however, is star-studded this year. You have Batista, John Cena, Triple H, CM Punk, Kane, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, and guys like Big Show gunning for a championship opportunity. And then you have superstars like Shawn Michaels who have deeper agendas than just a championship belt. There is no Legacy, there is no Degeneration X; it’s every man for himself and only one spot for the taking. Buckle up, people, we’re on the fast lane to WrestleMania 26 and it all kicks off with the Royal Rumble!

The Trifecta Of Chaos.
The last of WWE’s new conceptual PPVs for the year is Tables, Ladders, & Chairs (TLC), an event that promises one Tables Match, one Ladder Match, one Chair Match (seriously…we have such a thing as a Chair Match now?) and of course a combination of the three in a TLC match. While the PPV looks somewhat interesting, I think WWE should slow down on their events towards the end of the year and give their superstars a break. That’ll give the Royal Rumble an even bigger boost. But anyway, since this is definitely happening, I’m looking forward to the DX / Jeri-show battle. I was almost certain that Jeri-show would drop the championship belts but now I’m not so sure. Batista / Undertaker looks interesting although I’m sure ‘Taker will hold on to the title. A lot of people think Sheamus is going to win. I don’t think so, and I don’t think he deserves the championship so soon. He’s a pretty awesome superstar, yes, but he needs some more climbing to do before he enjoys that belt around his waist. TLC isn’t too far away so get to downloadin’!

Survivor Series is always one of my favorite shows and this year’s looks like it’s going to be one heck of a ride! Two Triple Threat matches for the two most coveted prizes in the business; both matches pitting tag-teams against each other. Will Chris Jericho and Big Show beat each other to a point where it’s just impossible to coexist anymore, bringing jeopardy upon their Unified Tag Team Championship status? And can Degeneration X coexist as promised with both Triple H and Shawn Michaels working as a unit, or will their egos tear them apart as they eye the WWE Championship? Then there’s ‘the Great Betrayal’, or what I call the awesome turn of Batista from ‘best friend in the whole wide world’ to ‘unleashed beast that’s been behind bars for way too long’. There’s just so much happening at Survivor Series this year that there’s a very low chance of it not being epic. The Battle for Brand Supremacy Begins.
Here’s the wallpaper for WWE’s new conceptual PPV, Bragging Rights, which makes it debut this Sunday on Pay-Per-View. The PPV looks interesting enough with a massive 7-verus-7 Raw vs. SmackDown! acting as the show’s main event. What confuses me is that Survivor Series is only about a month away and what’s a traditional 10-Man Tag Team Match compared to a huge 14-Man Interbrand Tag-Team battle for ultimate brand supremacy? Only thing I can think of is that the 7-on-7 ends with all superstars from Raw and SmackDown! invading the ring and the show ending with an all-out no contest brawl.

Even more interesting is the fact that this could be John Cena’s last night as a Raw superstar. I have a feeling he’s heading over to SmackDown! for the time being. Should be interesting to see how all this unravels. I’m almost certain that either Undertaker will retain his championship at Bragging Rights OR Batista will be crowned the new champion. I would have preferred a singles match between ‘Taker and CM Punk, though. And of course there’s the ‘Dirt Sheet’ match between Morrison and Miz. I’m sorry to say this but Morrison is on a much faster (and more successful) road to superstardom. Anyway, download the wallpaper for WWE Bragging Rights and decorate your screens!
