Spear! Spear! Spear!
It’s all the rave on SmackDown! these days. Edge enters a match, picks up momentum, positions his opponent, pumps the crowd up with anticipation, and then in a swift and sudden blow; The Spear! I was pretty surprised to see cheer for the move pick up so fast, seeing as it has been around for ages and Edge has been doing it for a very long time now. But that’s how good Edge is as a superstar. He gets the crowd to boo him out of buildings when he’s a heel (and boy was he a fantastic heel), but he can also get the crowd into a frenzy when he’s a babyface. In this case, nowadays everyone wants to see Edge deliver a devastating “Spear! Spear! Spear!” Anyway, here’s a brand new wallpaper featuring the Rated [R] Superstar, Edge, and what seems to be his current state of mind; obsession with his favorite finisher. I’ve said before that I’ve always liked heel Edge better, but I’ll give the guy credit for being a successful babyface as well. I’m hoping now that he’s a face that he’ll have a short / long reunion stint with either Christian or (also) newly-turned face, Randy Orton. Download and enjoy, folks!

Shawn Michaels “Legendary” Wallpaper.

Heartbreak & Triumph.
Like I said when I posted a previous wallpaper, either way, WrestleMania 26 marked the end of an era. The final moments of the epic Undertaker / Shawn Michaels rematch was bittersweet and awe-inspiring; seeing ‘Taker go 18-0 at ‘Mania and put an end to Shawn’s illustrious career is something that fans will never, ever forget. While nothing can really define the career of the legendary Heart Break Kid, I tried to pack as much as I could into this nifty lil’ wallpaper. It has everything from Shawn’s earliest days as one-half of The Rockers to his controversial character as leader of Degeneration X, from his “Boyhood Dream” era when he won his first heavyweight championship to his most recent self. There’s also other stuff in there like a ladder to symbolize all the matches he has revolutionized over the years. And while I’m pretty sad that we’ve actually seen the last of Shawn Michaels as an active in-ring wrestler, I’m also happy that he decided to retire while still “on-top”. I can’t imagine Shawn carrying on like Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan; one’s wrestling because he’s blown his bank-account to bits and the other can barely deliver a move without tearing a tendon. It’s good to know that HBK retired as still one of the greatest superstars in pro-wrestling history. Sure, HBK has “retired” before and made comebacks, but I think this one’s for good. I’m also betting that we’ll see HBK in some form (special referee, guest host, Hall Of Fame, etc) again in WWE, just not as an active competitor. Anyway, the wallpaper above comes in two versions. One’s “letterboxed” and one’s normal. Take whichever you prefer, fellas. This wallpaper was made to be grand for the Icon, The Showstopper, The Main Event, the Heart Break Kid, the one and only Shawn Michaels!
PS : The scariest part about all this is that there isn’t a young superstar in WWE today who’s promising enough to become as legendary as Shawn Michaels. Shawn and The Undertaker had TWO epic matches at two consecutive WrestleManias; probably the best matches I’ve ever seen, and it’s pretty worrying that there’s only a handful of superstars today that can somewhat try to live up to those epic clashes.

A Clash For Championship Glory.
When Edge and Chris Jericho teamed up last year to win the Unified Tag Team Championships, I was overjoyed. I loved the angle and I loved the pairing; these two shared chemistry that was unbeatable. Unfortunately Edge sustained an injury and Chris Jericho was forced to find a new partner (hence the birth of JeriShow). While I still love JeriShow (despite them going their separate ways), I’m sure I would have loved the Edge-Jericho tag-team way better. Edge won the Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho won the championship off The Undertaker, and here they are at WrestleMania 26 in a battle for one of the most coveted prizes in wrestling history. I’m definitely going with Chris Jericho on this one. Make no mistake, I am a huge fan of the Rated [R] Superstar, and I would have rooted for him if he had remained a heel. I just cant seem to take the new Edge as seriously as I did when he was smashing Ric Flair’s head between a steel chair and some concrete. However, this match has a lot to offer and I’m sure I’m going to enjoy it anyway. Both these guys are great performers and wrestlers; definitely something to look forward to. And most likely, this isn’t the end of the Jericho / Edge feud. Download and decorate your screens with this new WrestleMania 26 wallpaper featuring The Ultimate Opportunist, Edge vs the self-proclaimed Best In The World, Chris Jericho!
PS : Many thank-yous for the great response and feedback I received for the previous WM26 wallpapers (John Cena vs Batista & ‘Taker vs Shawn Michaels); much appreciated!
Keep checking back for more WrestleMania 26 wallpapers, all!

WrestleMania 26 Wallpaper: John Cena vs Batista.

“Clash Of The Titans!”
It happens in every generation. It used to be Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior. The it became The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin. And now it’s John Cena vs Batista at the Show Of Shows. What’s awesome about this second clash between these former rivals is that it isn’t somewhat of a friendly bout anymore. It’s an all-out personal war with John Cena being everyone’s hero and Batista being literally evil to the core. The Animal has shown time and time again that John Cena just isn’t any match for him (which is probably why Cena will end up winning in the end, but still). Lets hope WWE does something unique for once and not have the same ol’ “hero / underdog emerges victorious” scenario that we’ve seen time and time again at ‘Mania events. I first thought that this match was going to involve Vince McMahon and Bret Hart standing in their “team’s” respective corners but it turned out differently, which is a good thing. If it were up to me I would have Batista hold on to the WWE Championship for a long, long time. Plus, the WWE Championship needs a facelift. While the “spinner” design looks solid, it’s pretty one-sided in the sense that it looks like it always belongs to John Cena. Lets have a general-looking championship, shall we? Anyway, download the wallpaper above in anticipation of WrestleMania 26 and the brawl between these two WWE juggernauts. It’s gonna’ be an epic battle in the desert and destruction will be inevitable!

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker II Wallpaper

The Rematch Of The Century.
Probably the only match that could top Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 would be Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26! When the dust settled after last year’s phenomenal showdown, I was one of the millions who were left wondering if we’d ever see a match of this caliber again anytime soon. I guess we didn’t have to wait very long. The only difference this year around is that it’s much more personal, and the career of one of the greatest superstars in wrestling history hangs in the balance. WrestleMania 26 will see the annihilation of the unprecedented “17-0 WrestleMania Streak” or it will be the final showcase for the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels. Either way, this year will mark the end of an era. And while I wouldn’t want The Undertaker’s legendary winning streak to ever end, I also think that if there’s one person who deserves to break it, it’s the Showstopper, Shawn Michaels! But at the end of the day, I’m rooting for The Undertaker because while Shawn Michaels retiring is a huge loss, we all know nobody ever really retires in WWE. The streak, on the other hand, can never be “un-broken”.
So this is it. The sequel of sequels. And the wallpaper above is a sequel to last year’s wallpaper. It has been said that WrestleMania 26 could turn out to be one of the biggest ‘Mania events in WWE history, and by the look of things it seems to be going that exact direction. The matches are huge in scale but make no mistake and this isn’t to offend fans of other superstars; but there is no match this year that’s bigger than The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels II! Download and enjoy, all!
