Tables, Ladders, Chairs…Oh,my!
I can’t help but think of Mick Foley everytime I hear the words “TLC“. It was, after all, his “invention” back when he was the General Manager. In fact, back then, the General Manager didn’t have to ‘tweet’ announcements via a computer, or give Michael Cole more screentime than any of the Raw superstars week after week. Stories of Mick Foley aside, the card for this year’s TLC seems pretty stacked. You have the WWE, World Heavyweight, and the Intercontinental Championship on the line, as well as the No.1 Contender’s spot for the WWE Championship up for grabs. You also have the first-ever Divas Tables Match. That’s right, it’s okay for kids to watch women violently crashing through tables, but paramedics are sent out in the middle of a match at the first sight of blood seeping out someone’s nose. Go figure.

Kane defends his World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal Four Way, which I hope he wins. I’ve said it before, I’m not a fan of babyface Edge. Plus the whole Paul Bearer kidnapping storyline is ridiculous and overly-draggy. And then of course we have John Cena back in action against Wade Barrett. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate Cena for his hardwork, but he should have stayed “fired” for a few months at least. It would have given WWE room to grow and test other superstars like The Miz and Randy Orton, and to see how well they bring in ratings. We were bombarded with videos of John Cena’s career, saw him get fired, saw him give a long and sentimental speech about how he’s gonna’ be with his family, only to see him come back the following week and introduce Justin Gabriel’s head to a car windshield. It’s obvious that WWE have no faith in their current WWE Champion or others like Randy Orton who have worked extremely hard to get to where they are now. Speaking of Orton, I’m looking forward to his match with The Miz for sure, and I also think the Intercontinental Championship will serve as an “edge of your seat” experience. Ranting aside, get to downloading all! TLC is this Sunday so decorate your screens now!
